MIDWEST FOREST ECONOMISTS

Dear Colleagues,

Please join us at the joint meeting of the Midwest Forest Mensurationists and Midwest Forest Economists, which will take place October 18th and 19th, 2004, at the Courtyard Marriot in Grand Rapids, MI. A block of rooms has been reserved at the Courtyard Marriot under "Midwest Forest Economists and Midwest Mensurationists" for Sunday (Oct. 17) and Monday (Oct. 18). Room rates are $73.00/room/night (plus approx. 13% tax); this applies regardless of the number of people in a room. Hotel reservations must be received by September 24th at 5 pm to receive this rate.

*Registration and ice-breaker late afternoon / evening on Sunday the 17th.
*Technical presentations on Monday morning and afternoon and on Tuesday morning. Adjourn noon Tuesday.
*Oral presentations approximately 25 minutes in length (5 min. questions)
*Two $100 prizes will be awarded for the best student presentation(s): one in the category of forest economics and one in the category of forest mensuration.
*Meeting themes will be developed to reflect the proposed presentations.

Regular registration fee will be $75 and $50 for students and will include 1 lunch, 1 dinner and 2 coffee breaks. The registration must be paid by check--we do not have the capacity to take credit or debit cards. Please make the check out to "Midwest Forest Economists" and mail it to:
